i need me a new hair do. i’m tired of this cut. i’ve had it for a year already. the blond has grown out like weeds. i’m thinking of buying a curling to switch to waves again and grow it out a bit. man its tough to act like you’re cool when you’re really not.

DAMMMMNIT EVERYONE IS SOMEWHERE ELSE TONIGHT! now its just me and the brother paul going out tonight to sofa. we used to always go out, just us two, but i got used to the homies keeping us company on the dancefloor. when its just me and paul, we dance for hours without any eye contact in front of eachother. no. i’m serious. its looks hella funny. you can imagine…

ohh well whatever, i need a dance release.

breathe in. breathe out. PEEEEEEEEACE.

ohh. last word: I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT “FOSTER’S HOME FOR IMAGINARY FRIENDS” IS THE FUNNIEST SHOW ON TV RIGHT NOW. if you disagree i want to fight you.

exactly one year ago we were getting ready to go to hawaii.

we left on the 8th… damn time, its been a year already. i desperately want to go back. just to sit on the beach and get some color, yes i know, i have a year round tan, but there is a perfect color and this is not it.

ohh hawaii. you’re a gem.

Wednesday, June 7th, 2006

i have lots to say these days, but i’d rather speak than type.

a pigeon practially attacked me on saturday while walking up potrero in the city. the stupid bird basically landed on my head for a split second then lifted off, making its wing brush against my hair. i also felt its claws/talons on my scalp. i practically cried. if you didn’t know, i’m deathly afraid of birds. i had to stop for a second to compose myself, i even asked paul to brush my head off to get rid of its pressence. i am now, more than ever, traumatized by flying rats.

so… on saturday paul and i attempted to “get lost” in the city while a few of the g.designers had their shizz critiqued at an AIGA event. it was a good day, some highlights: we walked blocks & blocks & blocks… rode muni… bargain hunted (scored some adidas track jackets @ harputs in filmore for 50% off)… visited my brand new nephew/future godson gabe @ kaiser off of geary… enjoyed a CHEAP lunch in chinatown, dim sum for $3.90… got back to CCA to meet up with the graphic designers… but the highlight of the whole entire day was:

i scored a pair of some authentic Citizens’ on ebay for a FANTASTIC price. again, I WILL NOT PAY FULL PRICE FOR PREMIUM DENIM.

i just caught pharrell’s...

Thursday, June 1st, 2006

i just caught pharrell’s new video on 106&park. he’s REAL skinny now. i liked him better when he still had some meat. ohh pharrell, i still love you. i like to look at you, but not so much hear you.

i honestly wonder why some people want to become nurses. HONESTLY, i wouldn’t trust a large majority of the people who want to take that career path. I would never want my health care to be in their hands. I hope those type of people do not pass their tests. I’m not saying that just to be mean. I’m saying this because I truly feel that some people just aren’t bright enough or responsible enough to be a health care practioner. I say this because just earlier today I met a girl who was a nursing major but was totally clueless about adult life, she didn’t know how college worked (she wasn’t a freshman), how renting a place worked, how credit worked, life… she didn’t know shit about life. yet, she was on her way to become a nurse. its a relief to know that the test is super hard. still, i know they slip through the cracks somehow.

there are a TON of idiots that roam this school, and i’m sure its that way for most universities. i heard this one myself in my upper division government class, one girl thought that: “Joseph Stalin signed the U.S. Constitution,” its terrifying that so many people come out of college with a degree but don’t know shit.

the world is a scary place.

a real person wrote this, i saw it online on the listing service i check for work, i thought it was real funny:

“I am looking for two female roommates to share a beautiful apartment located minutes from campus. I am a good girl, looking for someone with similar values,(no drinking, drugs, smoking, etc) and i am a christian. I have two mormon roommates that i love but they are both moving to Utah! (the homeland)”

(pause) yeah. my thoughts exactly.

Thursday, June 1st, 2006

for the past week I’ve caught the very last two series episodes of sex and the city. i’m glad i never knew how it ended until i saw it. right now, i’m watching how it all began. fox plays the series in order nightly at midnight. only one episode at a time… that sucks, but its dope at the same time.

i love how the man is willing to always watch it with me. when i say “the man,” i hope you always know i mean “mine.”

what the hell have i gotten myself...

Thursday, June 1st, 2006

what the hell have i gotten myself into this summer? i have work/class/side projects/plus/plus/plus. i hope this madness only goes on for the month of june.

in the beginning of this year i was addicted to thai food for months. since the beginning of spring i have been eating japanese food at least once every week. i did this unconsciously for at least a month until i realized that i’ve acquired a dependency on some cheap bento or trendy sushi roll. the great thing about japanese food is that i always get full without feeling terrible about what i’ve just eaten. i have no remorse for eating fresh tuna sashimi & cold tofu w/ scallions & soy sauce. i’ve probably tried most of the joints in sac. damn YELP for being the enabler that keeps me hooked on trying new restaurants.

i’ve been YELP-ing the city of nyc for hours…. so much to see, so little knowlege i have. i’d really like to ask a local to make a list of affordable places to eat/see/shop, but i don’t want to look like an ignorant tourist. ahhhhhhhhh. its gonna be great.
