My thanks

My genuine thanks to anyone who wished me luck, said a prayer, or thought about me and my interview yesterday.

…cause I got a call and they offered me the position. I made it to the SFC, Lunar Design.

Sometimes… I do miss Sacramento.

I sure as hell do not miss school, but that easy-going suburban Sacto life was fun for awhile.

Sooo…….. um. yeah. there was an earthquake.

I didn’t realize what was going on until it was over. The man however, knew exactly what was happening and tried to be all heroic getting my oblivious ass to safety within a doorway.

…saved my life.

I HAVE BEEN RUNNING AROUND SINCE 2PM TRYING TO GET MY THINGS TOGETHER SO I CAN APPLY FOR A CHRONICLE FELLOWSHIP.

I’M ALSO A LITTLE FAZED BECAUSE I HAVE A REALLY BIG INTERVIEW TOMORROW WITH LUNAR DESIGN.

Its crazy how my life tries to balance between imaturity and maturity.

I haven’t bought a wedding magazine in months. Believe it or not Martha Stewart Weddings is probably the best one out there, along with The Knot (according to my taste). I got a copy of Martha’s today mainly because I fell in love with a dress on a model:

Originally I didn’t really want a strapless dress, but this is the very first dress that gave me a gut reaction. The dress is beautiful, especially the slight details that peek through.

I need to find this dress so I can try it on. I THINK I LOVE IT.

Got hit on last night again…. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY, I WAS FULLY DRESSED. This is how it went:

Filipino dude in a “Rasta” wig: HEYYYYY GIRL…. (takes my hand) What are you supposed to be?

Me: “I’m 5 years old.”

Rasta-man: “Awwwww, you’re too young to be in the club” (still holding onto my hand)

Me: laughing to be nice…. “aHahaha…. Yeah………….. Well I got to go, my man is right over there”

Rasta-man: hella lets go of my hand “uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. OK.”

last night…

I know my costume was pretty pathetic, I only came up with it that same day at around 2pm. I bought heart shaped glasses and a fake lollipop, weaksauce. I was also probably the only girl who was still covered head-to-toe. Next year I’m not even gonna front, I’ll dress up slutty and just call myself a prostitute. I did however find a sexy mail-lady costume that I found interesting, maybe next year I’ll be a sexy mail-lady. Even the big girls managed to come out in spandex last night, if they got the confidence–then why not me? Haha… we’ll see.

i honestly do not know what jay is supposed to be. if you ask me what i was i would’ve said “5.” paul is a kid as well. mary is a gold digger. more pictures tomorrow. this one is classic though.

#4 on the “stupid shit I’ve done this week” list:

I ran out of the garage without my purse when Paul picked me up yesterday. It hit me as the garage was about one foot away from closing. So we had to go bother my future brother-in-law Kyle at MHS cause his garage opener has access to mine.

Regardless of my stupidity, it has been a very good week.

Work is good, I was offered an interview with a huge SFC design studio (which will be next week, send me your good thoughts on Tuesday please), Jeff & I hit two design-related events two nights in a row (plus we saw the Sac homies, Rob & Vince), and Tonight we’re hitting Agenda for Vinroc & Armstrong.
