Ummmmmmmm….. I didn’t read why they closed, gross dude, yikes. How can such a famous place fail health regulations so badly? Terrible.

The man and I found a place to live.

What, I’m not jealous.

A whole bunch of things to say:

First off, I hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving! I spent the better part of my afternoon preparing a decent feast for the fam.

Secondly, I have discovered beauty and hair tutorials on YouTube. I’ve had ok attempts at “pouf-ing” my hair before, but this girl has a complete tutorial that has opened my eyes: PurseBuzz, ohh and there are a lot of really good make-up/eyeshadow tutorials on YouTube too, makeup is SO hard if you don’t practice: MAC Eyeshadow Tutorials. The color combinations on here are a bit too crazy for me, still its basically face-art.. My color/collection palette does not run into the cool/blue side of the color sprectrum at all.

I was originally searching for a beauty/fashion blog I was introduced to (whose name I have since forgotten, thus the search continues) because it gave really good “female cheating” tips, i.e. how to make heels hurt less, how to make skinny jean legs stay down in boots, product reviews, etc. etc. Anyways I really appreciate things like that cause sometimes I really despise the opposite sex for not having to deal with what we do. YEAH YEAH, ITS FUN–BEING A GIRL–AND DRESSING UP–YEAH YEAH–WHATEVER–The first three hours, yeah its fun. Then it gets cold, your feet are killing, and when you get back home you have to wash five thousand pounds of makeup off of your face or else you’ll break out (aka ME).

What sucks is I learned how to be a woman on my own… YES, I have a Mom, and Moms had doooooooope style back in the day, but she didn’t wear makeup and she just dealt with the frizzy hair (which genes have been tragically passed onto me). I did not learn the magic of a straight iron or blush until I got tired of dealing. I swear if I don’t have an Elizah (aka the future baby girl that will grow inside me many years from now) all this knowledge will go down the toilet, well not completely, I hope my sister has had an easier transition to womanhood with my passed down knowledge. ANYWAYS–What I’m basically trying to say, is that I’m trying to get by being womanly–the easiest way possible. SO I’M GONNA CHEAT, while other women suffer, I wanna know my resources if you know what I’m saying.

I’m not trying to hord all this information myself, so I will share via blog.

So here it is… the two new things I’ve added to my Kaboodle aka Xmas Wish List. Hopefully women everywhere will also take note and help their feet out!

For flats or any closed toe shoe without any cushion:

I’m tired of wearing plain old Keds to work. They’re not so terrible, but I’d at least like to wear some cute flats, the problem is I hate flats because they have absolutely no cusion. Its like walking barefooted and I can’t be in pain because there is a lot of walking in the city especially when you rely on BART & MUNI. I’ve only read one review on them, but I’m hoping they’ll be a savior. Dr. Scholls is a joke, “gellin’” is a fking joke.

Next, a girls got to walk in heels……

I’ve actually read mixed reviews about this product, some say it works wonders, some say you think it only helps because you have thicker padding. I think I still need to find out for myself.

Both products are actually available at Walgreens (or so both of their websites say), hopefully I’ll have ‘em both tried out by the end of next month.

CANNOT SLEEP…

I have this obsessive compulsion where I cannot ease off a problem until I have come up with a solution. Its really bad for my mental and physical health, sometimes I can’t sleep and sometimes the stress just causes an influx of acid in my stomach. It doesn’t happen very often and usually I’m a very good problem solver. Most of the time I can come up with 3 or 4 different scenario solutions.

This problem is ridiculous though.

I’ve been online since 1, trying to find some kind of magical answer to our housing problem. The renters market in the city is flooded. No one can afford to buy property, renters are being taken advantage of with high rental prices, and everyone is looking for the same shit as you: a nice place with decent rent.

SO wtf do we do? Live in Daly City………. nope, it almost cost just as much as the city, minus all the perks of city living. Live in the East Bay….. nope, you’d still have to find a way to the BART and commute to the city. Live in the Sunset…… nope, you’ll be on the bus so long you might as well live in the East Bay. Find a place with higher rent……. HELL NO.

So wtf? I know I sound pathetically hopeless and discouraged, I was also this way when I thought I’d never find a job during my search. I know it takes much more than the past month Jeff and I have been actively searching, but shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiet. Its so hard trying to find a place while living down here. Jeff and I spend 6 days out of the week in the city, and everyday we always have to come back home.

To be honest the commute isn’t killin’ me like I thought it would, but my life is molded around convenience. Leaving the house at 7am to be at work by 9am is by no means convenient, and not having any time in the evening but for dinner and the gym (zero errand time at all) is no way convenient.

UGH. We’ll find a way, damn SFC.

On a lighter note:

I get off/on BART at Civic Center/T-Loin, I swear on my life I think I saw an old school pimp on the corner of 8th & Market. He was completely decked out in his great gatsby wear, there were a few women hanging around him too. Yeah, dude was a P-I-M-P.

LAFD (Long Ass Fking Day)

At work all the emails have some kind of acronym, so I made that one up. Anyways I pulled one hour of overtime (yes, on a night before a holiday where people usually leave at 3) then met up with Jeff & his coworkers at a lounge in Nob Hill.

I’m putting Jeff on blast for not being able to responsibly handle his liquor, AGAIN, on an empty stomach… like a dumbass.

Like a dumbass……..

Sorry fiance, you need to learn.

DON’T LET THAT FOOL YOU THOUGH, I STILL DON’T HAVE ANY MONEY.

Foreals though.

Photoshop is NOT my friend. There are too many damn complicated things with that program, ugh I can’t understand….

On the other hand the Illustrator pen tool is my new great homie.

P.S NO, graphic designers are NOT on photoshop and illustrator all day. =p

For the better part of my grown life, I have driven an automatic car and used a mouse on the computer. Its a real bitch to try to switch over to something you aren’t accustomed to. If I can get the guts, I’m thinking about seriously trying to learn to drive Jeff’s car, I’m also considering trying to park my beast of a vehicle in SF if we get a good residential area. I’m also trying to use a Wacom, which isn’t working out so well at this moment.

Practice yo, practice.
