This is random and I should really go to sleep now… But I want to catch Journey live, damn 80’s bands though, since they’re so classic they can charge whatever they want, its $85 for decent seating. No thanks. Honestly I just want to catch their Filpino front man live in action. I’d say he’s one of the Filipino modern-day heroes along with Manny Pacquiao and Rob Schnider.

Saturday, June 28th, 2008The Adventures of Kate, Unemployed-Girl-Extraordinaire
People seem to be interested in what I do these days and how I keep myself busy. I honestly keep pretty busy, especially because I don’t have a car and public transportation is a slow means of getting around. My usual days are a mixture of wedding planning, domestic duties, being out running errands + the gym. The wedding planning has been on high alert these days because we are meeting with vendors next week and we’ve dedicated a whole day to get things done. So I’ve researched the hell out of Oahu these past two weeks, ask me where you can find cupcakes on Oahu, I’ll let you know… June 27th Adventures _ Talked to my Mom cause she wanted to know how I was doing and what I was up to. _ Met with Paul for lunch at PIXAR, the infamous locked-down PIXAR (Took MUNI-BART-Emeryville Shuttle). They have the best cafe and a beautiful building complete with a sand volleyball court and heated lap swimming pool. I took one photo, my dumbass didn’t bring a camera. I will post when I recieve it. _ Hit Union Square for vacation-necessary purchases. _ Walked through Union Square to Chinatown to get to North Beach because I decided I needed my afternoon snack at a cafe in North Beach. Yeah dude, when you have time on your hands you do crazy things like walk though Chinatown just to get a snack. _ Ate a tiny french sandwich as slow as humanly possible while I people watched through the window. _ Talked to my Dad cause he wanted to know how I was doing and what I was up to. _ Hitched a couple of buses back to the Financial District, hell no I was not going to walk through Chinatown and Union Square again for kicks. _ Walk down Market to the Ferry Building where I took my very sweet time looking at super expensive chocolate that I will never buy in my lifetime. _ Walked along Embarcadero to get to the man’s place of business. Arrived just in time for Happy Hour with the man and his coworkers, Gordon Bierch is just next door. _ Learned that a shot of Absolut Vodka should NEVER be taken as a shot just to be cheap and avoid the price of Grey Goose. Grey Goose all the way, I will never turn my back on it again. _ Recieved a beautiful buzz off a generous glass of cab sauv while discussing Jeff’s boss’ gay escapades with serious curiosity. _ Took the BART to The Mission for dinner at a place that serves the best salmon teriyaki in the city, ran into another one of Jeff’s coworkers. Decide to get ice cream at Bi-Rite together. _ Get home, 11pm. Damn I’m tired. Some fucker on Yelp told me I...
Saturday, June 28th, 2008Some fucker on Yelp told me I was “funny” because I wrote a shit review about the Van Ness 24hr Fitness. He sarcastically noted that since I don’t like germs in a gym or crowded places (took this totally out of context) that I’m not a city person and that I should move back to Michigan or Upstate NY.
If I really needed to explain how an overcrowded gym with stank ass people is bothersome I guess I’m just too high maintenance. Seriously? I’m not a city person and I should move back to Michigan? Please. I don’t know why I let online strangers get to me. But that is exactly why you can’t leave a comment on this blog right here. People on Yelp need to get their opinions straight. Most of the time they don’t have enough information prior to forming these opinions. People are entitled to their opinions but not when they want to tell me who I am and where I belong. Friday, June 27th, 2008In my spare time…
I’m teaching myself how to be a better girl. Thank goodness for Youtube tutorials. Too bad I’m too lazy to do this crap on a regular, way too damn lazy. I’m engaged, and I got a man. He doesn’t really care. Anyways I get mad if I do something new and he doesn’t notice. SO WHATEVER, trying to do a cat eye, a poof, extreme hair volume, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah… is just for me. I should’ve Youtubed fake eyelash application, then I would’ve saved $20 from learning from a gay man at the MAC store. Thank you technology, you make me more of a woman. P.S. I asked my Mom why she never learned how to do her hair or makeup, her response was “I was never interested in that stuff.” GEE, thanks Mom. She had to raise two girls and never thought that she had to learn this stuff so it could help me and my sister, thankksssssssss. And she wonders why she had two tomboys until we turned 15.Stephanie runs Joey’s car...
Wednesday, June 25th, 2008Today on Full House:
Stephanie runs Joey’s car into the Tanner’s kitchen by accident. Moral of the story: no matter what you do, your family is there to forgive you and there’s nothing you can do to stop this. This is my life. (no lectures please, I’ll be fine)How I spend my unemployed time...
Tuesday, June 24th, 2008How I spend my unemployed time:
In no particular order, and usually not how I spend every day. _ Shop Trader Joes, really really slow._ Catch reruns of Full House (they’re currently in the early years and I like the earlier seasons better)
_ Get my ass to the gym
_ Window shop, because I can’t afford to purchase anything but food these days. This includes walking around Union Square and Upper Haight.
_ Bike from the apt to Ocean Beach, did this Thurs last week. Its 46 blocks, but I cut through Golden Gate Park. Still, its a hell of a good ride.
_ Be a domestic woman: laundry, dishes, dinner… The man has food ready to eat as soon as he steps into the apt. NO, he’s not going to get used to it.
_ Job hunt, doesn’t last long at all.
_ Wedding plan, I do this everyday. It’s like a hobby now. Thats how I do, its getting pretty redundant these days, but I’m trying to savor it.

Holler at me, I’m unemployed. The gov’t is paying me $152 a week to survive. Can I borrow a dollar? C.R.E.A.M. So sad.America’s Best Dance Crew...

Sass x 7: WTFFFFFFFFFF? Glorified cheerleaders on America’s Best Dance Crew, no thank you.Xtreme Dance Force: Is that their name? Male cheerleaders with hopes of being recruited for Chip N’ Dales. They gross me out in the worst way possible. Not sexy, please go home already. The West Coast is going to kill it. I do have love for So Real & ACIID. Looking forward to the season…

Thursday, June 19th, 2008Remember those days when you didn’t have anyone significant, and all you did was listen to slow jams and daydream until you went to sleep? You’d listen to these songs and imagine the person who fit the feelings associated with the song… Damn I’m getting so old. It’s so good to hear those old songs now.
Its like the reincarnation of butterflies in my chest. Tevin Campbell – “Always in my heart” P.S. Yes, I’m listening to potential wedding music. ANY REQUESTS OR RECOMMENDATIONS, I know you guys have lists…I am almost done baking three...
Friday, June 13th, 2008Cake Master
I am almost done baking three red velvet cakes. If you are attending kid brother’s graduation festivities this Saturday, there will be TWO cakes there. I can’t lie, I bake one helluva red velvet. No modesty here. The other cake is for my last day at work. Last day at LUNAR, bittersweet.
