Ugh, yeah, so mean.

There is a girl on the NorCal Knot Board whom I think is still in high school. In her knottie bio (a webpage that shares details about the couple, the wedding, and planning) she lists Disneyland as her honeymoon.

I’m not joking. I keep trying to figure out how old she is. I quote “We just started planning… He just brought me in a jewelry store and he had me pick out my favorite ring and that was that… Its not in my posessiion yet though so I know something is being planned :) ” She says her wedding is in 2010. Hot damn, I can’t believe she took the time to create a webpage dedicated to a wedding she just thinks will eventually happen down the road with a ring that doesn’t exist yet. She does mention they have a child together… so I am probably just being a huge bitch. Still… you got to admit, its like a kid day dreaming amongst women who are actually having real weddings.

Ugh, call me a hater cause that’s what I’m doing and I think its funny. Plus I read about this on the national boards where bitchy women always make fun of the young girls who show up and talk about their big dream weddings.

Every now and then (translation, every PMS week) I get really low and stop believing in myself because of my unemployed and financial situation. I’m really like a broken record, every month I break down a few days a week and Jeff and I have to deal with picking up the pieces–each and every time.

Yesterday I realized that almost half of every pair I know is going through the same situation. There is a fresh crop of graduates out there who can’t get any fucking jobs and we can all blame it on the market and economy. Almost one significant other in every couple I know cannot land a full time job, although we are all fully-educated-degree-carrying-individuals. I need to stop taking my situation so personally and accept that the greater picture is obviously beyond my control.

I just have to ride out the fucking storm.

Since I’m currently still unemployed the only “hobby” that is keeping me sane is planning the wedding.

I’m currently at the part where I’m looking for everything to make the damn thing happen, including bartending service. So I’ve been in contact with a few, one just got back to me with the question: “HOW LONG WOULD YOU LIKE THE BAR OPEN?”

Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. Haha, as long as humanly possible. Too bad the wedding has to end before 10pm! Everyone is going to be wasted by 6.

I hope you will all remember the day Kate said “hell yes” to Jeff and Jeff said “hell yes” to Kate.

Ohh and most definitely the bar will be open all night, we provide all the liquor, the bartender just serves ‘em up–as much as you ask for it.

Hopefully the man and I will not go too far, or else my mom will look at me with her passive-aggressive stare.

Counting down until I’m a hypenated Mrs.

For those with wanderlust

My new favorite website: Yapta.com

Track the fares for any trips you’re anticipating on taking. So far I’m tracking fares to the wedding and weekend getaways to NYC.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING THIS IF YOU PLAN ON FLYING TO OUR WEDDING.

Sick

Somewhere, somehow I got sick. I have prepared myself a lunch of Trader Joe’s fried rice, Campbell’s low sodium chicken soup (disgusting by the way), and a hot cup of green tea.

Still jobless, on a roller coaster of emotions, but everything in life is great except for that one factor–so thats ok.

Still keeping hope alive while sniffling excess snot.

Three days in New York was probably one of the greatest blurs in my life ever.

Despite what many believe, the man and I are efficient and hardcore vacation-takers. The beautiful aspect of this trip was that we were accompanied by two couples we love and who were down for the ride.

We’ll be back as soon as we can get the next tickets booked.

P.S. I don’t think I got that job, but I think greater things are at work, so its ok.

I am currently a hot mess, sitting in a third floor apt, in some sweltering NY indian summer humidity.

I will miss you Brooklyn-New York City [and Jun, Lauren, Iris & James] Back to our lonely SF we go, and trust me… its lonely sometimes.
