So I Myspaced my favorite dj, Vinroc, about getting a personal mixed cd for the wedding. He was down, and even threw out the crazy idea to making it to Hawaii in July. So on Friday, after the lights came on at the club, I finally introduced myself in person. He’s crazy modest and down to earth, Paul went on and on about how we hella respect and love what he does and then Vinroc says…. “You know what, its not even about that, its not how big you are. You guys know my friend Neil?” Strange pause from us. Vin-”Neil, you know… Neil Armstrong. He was Jay-Z’s dj for the tour. You should actually ask him, cause he’s better than me. He did the same thing for someone last year. He went out and djed someone’s wedding in Hawaii. So you know… its possible. Its not about how big you are.” First of all… how do you just name drop your friend like that… its like Michael Jackson saying: “Ohh you guys know my friend, Prince? Yeah Prince, the guy with the symbol.” Crazy dude.I’ve been working out pretty...
Thursday, January 15th, 2009I’ve been working out pretty darn hawrd the past three days in a row. Yesterday I cycled 12 miles round the city and today I practically walked a mile uphill on a steep grade on the tread’ and then some. I feel like my body wants to collapse and turn into Jello pudding.
Yeah. I know thats not a word....
Wednesday, January 14th, 2009Bilingualicity.
Yeah. I know thats not a word. So for those of you who don’t know I was born in the Philippines, raised in California. My parents always spoke to me in Tagalog, I just never cared to respond in our native language. Some days I’m still amazed I can understand a language that is not English. If I hear Tagalog on the bus, I will turn my head and I will fully decipher a conversation. I was in the other room and then I heard this skittles commercial. Weird thing is… I can only understand the man in the mirror holding the Skittles, I think the tailor is speaking gibberish, shit, if its not gibberish I may have just offended a whole ethnicity.I can no longer use a computer...
Tuesday, January 13th, 2009Confession:
I can no longer use a computer mouse, I barely have the motor skills to operate one. I have fully converted all my hand-eye coordination to the Wacom tablet [and Macbook trac pad of course, I have also fully forgotten how PCs operate]. I should have been left-handed on the computer a long time ago. Why didn’t I mimic real life sooner?Cause I support what these two...
Tuesday, January 13th, 2009Cause I support what these two do SO VERY MUCH…

I will NOT be having a baby anytime...
Monday, January 12th, 2009Dear World,
I will NOT be having a baby anytime soon. I repeat, I will NOT be having a baby anytime soon. Give me at least two years, soon is a scary thought for me. I realize many of you already see Jeff and I as a married couple, but we’re not. We’re engaged, please…. let us be married first, let us enjoy marriage, a dual income and some time before we are ready to dedicate ourselves to what I believe will be the greatest addition to our lives (ever). I look forward to being a mother, I will bake cookies, I will send them to dance lessons and sports practice, and I will play until I am tired. I will be Martha Stewart and Semi-Homemade. I will be the mom with the most appreciated arts and crafts projects, and child with the greatest artistic sensibility. I look forward to it. But for now… please… let me be a bride first, let me be a wife, then mommy can follow in a couple of years. When the time comes… I’ll be ready, but for now. I am young and want to enjoy a life with my husband until the next one joins us (which will probably be a dog). Sincerely, CReyes [Translation: OMGahhd, let me breathe]…and he shall be named Musubi...
Friday, January 9th, 2009I WANT MY SHIBA INU, NOW.
…and he shall be named Musubi…
If these were on Rockband or Guitar...
Friday, January 9th, 2009If these were on Rockband or Guitar Hero World Tour, I would be your lead singer:
I just can’t stop loving you – Michael JacksonDon’t stop believing – Journey
Total eclipse of the heart – Bonnie Tyler
I want to know what love is – Foreigner I can’t sing for my life, but as you can probably tell I like to sing really INTENSE songs, nonetheless.
Jeff and I have decided that we...
Friday, January 9th, 2009Jeff and I have decided that we will play NOTHING EXCEPT FOR JAGGED EDGE during dinner at our wedding.
I repeat, NOTHING BUT JAGGED EDGE.
