Vampire Diaries
True Blood: yessir, got bit by Vamp hype. Can’t deny it. Just finished Season 1, going to wait forever to catch season 2
The Office: my first love
Entourage: SATC, but men… I love it, stuck waiting for Season 6, no HBO
Reading
The Lucky One - Nicolas Sparks: Because I’m a sucker for a good love story where men are chivalrous and work hard for the object of their affection.
Honolulu - Alan Brennert: Same author as Molokai, but my “holds turn” has yet to come up at the library so this will do for now. Molokai was recommended by Mrs. Arcala, after she was missing Hawaii, so I too will travel back to the (808) via fiction. (By the way… a piece of my soul has truly embedded itself somewhere in Hawaii and I feel I will never get that part of me again. Damn Hawaii… you’ve done something wicked to me)
On hold at the library (because, to be blunt… I’d rather spend my money on food, clothing, and shoes, plus the apt has no room for more books):
LA Candy – Lauren Conrad: WTF right? Yes, apparently homegirl is a writer now. Someone already bought the rights to make the book into a movie. I’m not surprised, LC has the Midas touch these days, everything turns to gold. BTW… did you know her clothes are sold at Kohls? Thought she could do more major than that…
The Lost Symbol – Dan Brown: Because I have to! Even though I don’t want to shell out $25 for a hardcover I will never touch again. His stuff is bananas, usually entertaining. I almost denounced my Catholic faith after Angels & Demons cause I took that shit way too seriously. HAHA. Ohh… I’m currently hold number 622 at the SF public library. (Mrs. Biala, if you are reading this… I have to wait a bit… AHhAHahahhaah)
Have a Little Faith – Mitch Albom: I always feel like I have a greater sense of myself and my take on life after reading an Albom book.
Eating
Vietnamese food like crazy… there are two spots in the ‘hood that are definitely default “I’m not cooking tonight” joints
Afghan food: OMGAAAHHHHHD, my latest and greatest ethnic food obsession. I first tried it at a festival when I used to work in Hayward (years and years ago), I tried it again recently and it felt like I finally satisfied a long-time craving that I never knew I had.
Doing
I’m trying to launch my own personal project in January. I’m in the motions to get the ball rolling and jumpstart my design career for myself, since I no longer expect that perfect opportunity or job position to come rolling my way. Luckily us designers have the opportunity to take things into our own hands.
I have a new bike.
